How to remove window film
Peel, soak and scrape — a straightforward job.
- Lift a corner with a blade and peel the film back slowly. The longer it has been on, the more it may tear into pieces.
- Soak any adhesive left behind with warm soapy water; an adhesive remover speeds this up.
- Scrape gently with a window scraper and a scrub pad, keeping the glass wet.
- Clean the glass to finish.
Take care with heated or coated glass — use a plastic scraper and avoid excessive heat.
